Dr. Lanzaro Named Guest Editor for JoVE Topical Collection

Dr. Lanzaro will serve as a Guest Editor for an upcoming Topical Collection in the JoVE Journal titled “Exploring the Biology of the Most Dangerous Animal on Earth: Anopheles Vectors of Human Malaria.”

This collection will highlight cutting-edge experimental approaches and emerging methodologies in the study of Anopheles mosquitoes, the primary vectors of human malaria. The goal is to bring together innovative protocols, technical advances, and best practices from leading research groups to create a lasting resource for the mosquito-borne disease research community.

JoVE is a peer-reviewed scientific video journal dedicated to improving the visibility, accessibility, and reproducibility of research. Articles published in JoVE are accompanied by professionally produced videos that demonstrate experimental workflows, enabling researchers to communicate complex methods in a clear and highly reproducible format. The journal is widely accessed by researchers, educators, and trainees worldwide.

The Topical Collection will include a range of article types, such as original research articles, methods papers, rapid reports, review articles, and case reports. Researchers working on mosquito biology, vector ecology, and malaria transmission are encouraged to contribute.

Submissions begin with a short abstract for Guest Editor evaluation. Selected contributions will proceed through JoVE’s full editorial and production process, including peer review and, where applicable, video development.
