New UCMI Publication

We are pleased to share that our paper, “Host preference and resting behavior of Anopheles coluzzii (Diptera: Culicidae) on the island of São Tomé, West Africa,” has been published in the Journal of Medical Entomology.

This study examines the host feeding patterns and resting behavior of Anopheles coluzzii on São Tomé following the implementation of intensive malaria vector control programs. By analyzing blood meals from mosquitoes collected both indoors and outdoors between 2021 and 2024, the research provides new insights into mosquito behavior and how vectors in the island interact with humans and other hosts, information that is critical for improving malaria control strategies.

Congratulations to all of the authors on this publication!
